Grab Files A/V From YouTube and Almost Any Other Website Dear Customer, The Windows version of Download Surgeon has been out for several months but, the Mac (OSx) Version of Version 4 hasn't been available until now!!
Download Surgeon can grab files from virtually any site on the WWW, whether audio or video. It has two download modules (one that is specific to YouTube). If DS4 cannot download from a site, its SC Recorder module allows you to make a digital copy, guaranteeing almost 100% coverage.
Now in its 4th generation, there were two main reasons for the release of this new build. One was to expand the universe of sites that DS4 could access and the second was to make it easier to use.
The image below is a brief illustration of how this new system works. You start a video playing and DS4 finds the video stream and places a small green icon on the video which when clicked will open a list of available videos for you to select from and download. It is a Quick, 3 Step Process.
In addition, you will find several new and valuable features in DS4.
One is the integration with other TMJ Software programs. For example,
if you own Video Surgeon and want a file that you download to be automatically opened in Video Surgeon (or SS and KS), this can be done.

A second new feature is the Download Later function which allows you to place a file in a queue for downloading at a later, specified time.
Also, you will find in the YouTube Downloader seven new feature buttons which allow you to do a variety of useful things. These include downloading and saving of only a specific segment of a large video, downloading all the videos found in a specific YouTube Profile (User Account), downloading playlists and much more.
With the release of this new version of Download Surgeon, we are implementing the requirement of an ongoing Support Plan and I want you to understand WHY this is being done.
Download Surgeon is not a One and Done Product. Unlike our other products that only run on your machine and DO NOT have to interact with other websites, Download Surgeon must work on thousands of websites – and have the ability to find and download A/V files from these sites. And if one of these web sites changes something – and sites are always changing things – this may break DS4’s ability to work on that site. This means that our work on DS4 is NEVER finished. We are always working on the code base to keep it working on a large number of sites. It is because of this ongoing and constant need to support Download Surgeon that we are requiring a Support Plan, in addition to your purchase of the product.
To put this in perspective, if you buy now, during this launch period, the cost of your ongoing support plan is 11 Cents/Day. That’s right….. 11 cents and that gives the ability to grab almost any audio or video from the Internet.
This support plan requirement is built into the licensing module; without an active Support Plan DS4 will not run. If you currently have an active DS3 support plan and buy Version 4, we’ll pro-rate this plan and apply it to your purchase of version 4 automatically.
In the past we have been very liberal with helping DS customers at the Help Desk whose free support period had ended. Moving forward, we will also require DS3 customers to have a Support Plan to submit a Support Ticket.
